Saturday was good fun. More pix next time. Sunday was unfortunately a bit nasty but I did get some good work done on the bearospace schooner project.

We will have our schooners on the water well ahead of the CJ's! Our group will have a real classic pond yacht vibe goin on! I love it!

This coming weekend... Saturday looks a bit on the cold side (but, that can be deceiving) and Sunday looks perfect so far. We'll see how it shapes up as the weekend approaches! Winds are predicted at 5-10. Hoping Eric's Vela will be back in fighting trim, and we can set out a course.

Guy's some vid's of it would be cool,!! especially of the "vintage" stuff. I'm getting the interest of square riggers by wind power ( no motor cheat ) even if cheating is my M.O.!!! Tim aka Cap'n Hax

We adjourned to Eric’s workshop to check out Carl’s Bearospace Schooner build. Eric got his Vela in paint, ready to bend a new set of Carr Sails. Here’s hoping we have more nice weather soon. Not bad for mid winter.

More to come ! CRYC will soon have 4 Canterbury J’s as a racing fleet. Two schooners as well as a nice assortment of 1 meters, pond yachts, warships, live steam and submarines. It’s a very eclectic “sail what you bring” group. Looking forward to a great spring!

We sail round the Mermaid for fun and practice. We have bouys for marks. We have gotten tangled up with her on occasion though.
