flying quadkart 200kilos

I wanted to build a somewhat affordably quad go kart for flying over water at low altitudes.. I weigh 97 kilos and would guess the frame with electronics and lipos would be another 100 kilos.

who makes a motor and prop that could give me 3:1 power to weight ratio?

Better look for a hovercraft, what you envision will give you at most 15 min of flight, if approaching as electric propulsion, which not worth the effort.
Hovercraft give you same feeling as flying at low altitude and don't sink when a motor stop

Somewhat affordable and 97 K payload I think are mutually exclusive. Also a quad would need really large props and and fall out of the sky with a single rotor failure. I have seen several designs that can lift a person. They all had many more than 4 rotors. They did not fly for very long and I am sure they were very expensive.

Here are a couple:

Ferdinand (EndOfDays)

I was thinking along the line about gasoline generator running wot, to keep the juice flowing, and use a small battery pack as a powered buffer for flight.

anyone got a source for motors and props, I want to stick with 4 motors for simplicity . I want to layout a single seated configuration

You want to build (and ride !) this without a minimal understanding ... ?
For example the first logical question I would ask is how to compute the propulsion required for such task... then start search for the motors that do the job.
Surely aren't the kind of motors sold at HK

ok,

AUW of 400lbs, so we're at 100lbs per motor, double that for 2:1 power : wieght , so i need 200lbs of thrust

generator output at 220 volts AC

from http://www.godolloairport.hu/calc/strc_eng/index.htm i get.....

Prop size : 69 inches diameter with 41 inches of pitch= 243 lbs. of thrust 110 Kg,

Power: 50 HP , 37kW X 4= 200HP generator , lol

prop rpm : 2000

Motor kV: ?

ESC: ?

I think the generator idea is off the list, next option would be small 2 stroke air cooled motors
