Noob question on HB elite FP

Hi,
I have broken the strut holders on the boom of my HB elite FP.
But, are those struts really needed? The CF boom seems sturdy enough.
Also, is it OK to ditch the boom fins?

Seems like just more weight and stuff to break.

Thanks,
Alex

What power line?

Don't throw them away. Keep those rods for future use. They're light and strong, but they're a fifth wheel on your helicopter.

Tried to tell 'em. But, hey, it's not like I've done it before. I threw out an engine in a box because I didn't look to see if it were empty.
You pay top dollar for this stuff, hang onto it.
