P-51D Fake Fest Build Sign Up

Ok, here's the sign up thread/build thread for the P-51D Mustang Fake Fest build. Obviously this one is a little different in that it's a new group of players on the mfg end with me Matin and Joe making them this year. This is a re-boot of our old Slope Scale P-51D that has been unavailable for about 20 years. The original was carved by Dutchydawg and was a very popular plane back in it's day. The new version while similar is all new. I added wing fillets, a vertical stab, the fuse is slightly wider, the exhaust stacks are molded into the new separate hatch, a more detailed scoop, in addition canopy lines, rudder lines and spinner lines have been added to the fuse.

As usual we are supplying short kits consisting of a fuse, hatch, belly pan wing cores and plans. The plan is to also supply a preshaped hardwood leading edge with the strake (either as one piece or two) The cost for the kits is not finalized yet but will probably be similar to previous builds ($150 to $200 plus the leading edge cost) We still have some engineering to do on the leading edge and cores to try and make the pre-shaped leading edges work correctly. So DON"T send any money yet. I am not shipping Kits. Matin will taking care of kits that need shipped and he posted the details here, https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...&postcount=171

I will add the details as we finalize them (cost, build days etc). More than likely the first build/delivery day will be mid January (13th?)

PM me or post if you want a kit.

Kit cost with cores and leading edges = $215, add $10 if you want a heavy layup
fuse, belly pan and hatch only = $150, add $10 if you want a heavy layup

Send paypal "GIFT or send to friend or whatever it's called" to slopescale@att.net

When ordering please include your real name, your RC groups handle and EXACTLY what you want (fuse only, short kit AND include what kind of layup you want (light, standard or heavy)

This fuse has curves all the way around so it will be plenty strong .
Cheers
I get the first fuse so I can bang out a plane real quick and make sure there are no issues with it. So the first one does not need to be all that pretty, cherry juice stains are ok!
