Thanks for Your ideas Paul, but there is no subtrim. It is the servo setup menue of the radio, so any value is directly responsed by the servo.

I have a pololu maestro at work, may be I will try next week and will find out in which range the servos are working. But it´s not really a problem. I have sufficiant deflections on every control surface.

Hi all,

Is anyone out there flying a Snipe 2 using a Multiplex 2.4 M-Link system? If so, please PM me. Thanks.

Dear all

Does someone know the source for the ball links that are used on the Snipe 2 aileron linkage?

I can find M3 ball links, but not the kind with a Allen/Hex socket in the ball. I guess the Heli folks might have such speciality links?

Thanks,
Reto

PS: yes, Vladimir models would likely have them, but shipping from Ukraine takes a while. So if anyone knows a source in the US, please let me know.

Align ball links are M3 I believe. Hex socket in the centre of them too. Any ball link for the swashplate should have a hex centre.

Like Align H70Z001XXT or any aftermarket version, are those the ones?

Hi, is anyone connecting the carbon pushrods using solder x threaded couplers by gluing the carbon pushrod into the solder end and threading the other end into the aileron clevis? Or bad idea?

not a "bad" idea - but not really necessary. I guess if you wanted to change pushrod length for any reason it would give you some adjustment. not sure why you'd need that though. The carbon slides in the connector easily enough to allow adjustment of surfaces before gluing - so you should be ale to get them in the correct location.

FYI: KST X08 servo travel

FYI: I just tested four new v5 servos and they have +- 60deg travel with input pulses from 1000uS to 2000us - some (all?) radios use "extra" pulse width (800uS to 2200uS) to get past 100%. Anything past 1000uS to 2000us will not get you more travel on the X08 servos. See if your radio will show pulse width - I have only used Taranis and they have a page just for this.

Is that +-60deg from center for a total throw of 120deg?

V5's have an increased total throw, which is 120 Degrees.

400 mAHr Lipo that fits Snipe 2 narrow nose

I found a narrow 400 mAHr Lipo that fits pretty nicely into the Snipe 2's narrow nose. (See attached pics.)

Specs: Weight: 8.2g
Size: 35.5 x 16.6 x 7.6mm / 1.4 x 0.6 x 0.3"

I am posting it because the battery comes from the Adafruit website; not a place you would normally look for lipos. https://www.adafruit.com/product/3898

Its kinda expensive at $7 + $11 shipping. For some reason Adafruit uses an expensive shipper for Lipos.
