I agree. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me...

Though my EV-100 had none of the grey or black bars or other issues the FOV was just too small. That said I sold mine.

Then BangGood took my money for 6 weeks with the TopSky fiasco. I haven't bought anything from them since though I may buy some small things in the future. I've been getting my things from Amazon.

Features guess:
- Fan
- 40 degree FOV (bigger than EV100)
- Diversity of some sort
- 3D support
- Spectrum/frequency scanner
- Adjustable IPD
- Built-in DVR

Suggestions/brainstorming:

- Make everything modular and hackable: modular receivers, individual removable screens, open source firmware, etc.
- Make several face plate options to cover all head shapes/sizes
- Build in the antennas and put them on a swivel so they can fold down into a slot on the top of the goggles to make them ultra compact.
- ... or design a case that will somehow accomodate a patch + pagoda (maybe with swivel SMA connectors)
- Spectrum analyser
- Camera on the front like Skyzones but use two of them to give binocular vision.
- Picture-in-picture support so I can see two images at once. Could be used with the camera idea above or maybe let me run a DVR video so I can use that to practice tricks.
- Use the diversity antennas to estimate the direction of the quad and show an indicator on screen.

My guess on EV200D features:

Most interesting feature - 2 receivers diversity with dual antennas - up to 4 antennas
FOV from 32 to 35 degrees
2 LCD screens with WVGA resolution
4:3 aspect ratio
NTSC/PAL autodetect
OSD with basic information - battery status, band, channel, frequency
2 joysticks for menu and control
Adjustable brightness & contrast
Adjustable IPD
Adjustable Focal length
Built in DVR
Built in FAN
Seaprate ON/OFF switch for FAN
Autoscan feature
72 Channels total
HDMI in
AV in
AV out
Headphones out
USB out connection
1000mAh lipo battery pack with USB charging

Suggestions:

Configurable LED lights on the front panel (like in SkyZone SKY03 or Jerolac Kaptain G)
External receiver module bays (Fatshark compatible pinout and size)
DVR 720p or at least true D1 resolution 720x576 (PAL)
Recording sound
External microphone in for voice over video (with headphones socket)
3D support
Some people would like to have slots for dioopter correction inserts
Picture settings configurable (Saturation, colors etc.)
Better band scanner with visual graph

Feature idea - offer a head strap with the battery holder at the back, instead of at the side. This could come with an extension lead for the battery.

The balance is much better with the battery at the back.

My guesses for EV200D features - same features as EV100 except :
DVR/MicroSD slot
HDMI in (mini HDMI port)
FOV 32 degrees or slightly higher
2 receivers each with antenna diversity (4 antennas)

Requested features :
on/off switch for the goggles (not just the fan)
Modular receiver
3D video support (separate image in each lens)

All right, I'm having a guess too

Specs

- 720x540 display (same as EV100) so with a 4:3 ratio
- but with high quality glass optics providing 32 FoV (no blur, no edge distortion)
- adjustable PID and focus
- inserts for prescription lenses
- integrated DVR (640x480, records MJPEG)
- removable front cover
- two slots for two removable receivers! provides receiver diversity + allows 3D video (with 2 transmitters on different channels)
- comes with one PRO58 Rx diversity receiver
- OSD display with band, channel, battery level
- built-in fan with on/off button
- ports: USB, AV in/out, headphone, HDMI in
- standard strap with two attachments, can be upgraded with additional overhead strap to improve comfort

Suggestions

- freely switchable 4:3 / 16:9 ratio
- wide FoV with selectable narrower FoV (for instance, 50 max, can be reduced to 42, 32)
- audio volume can be controlled within OSD menu
- wide input voltage tolerance (from 2S to 4S)

Another thoughts:
There are 4 long slits under the antenna connectors on the front cover. It looks that this front cover is removable. If it is removable, then why? Maybe there are 2 modular bays for 2 separate diversity modules for each display, so it would support 3D video areal feed ?!
That would be cool.

Make the form factor like reading glasses, so you can look down into it and see the screens or look over that and see outside. I don't use current style goggles because they blind you to everything else.

That is nuts. For a good FPV experience you need no light leaks whatsoever! If you want to have what you asked for use a monitor bolted to your transmitter. IMO that doesn't work for FPV.

The only way this will work is like the Sky03s where they have a front camera and you can press a button to see the real world.
