The Muscle Coupe is a beautiful sport/scale plane produced by a company that is renowned for it's superlative high-performance sport and 3D planes that have won competitions on a yearly basis.
This is not a passing whimsy but an expression of the company that loves model aviation.
A winner.

It's here and I did a quick unbox. Excellent quality as always, all the covering is tight. The ailerons and flaps are pretty big and I really like the airfoiled stab and elevator. Just looking at it and judging the size it could also scoot along pretty quick. I noticed you could stuff bigger packs in it so flight times could be on the high side with a 6S4000 + although I will be doing more action with 6S3300 - 3700.

Is there another thread on the muscle coupe. Where's all the discussion on this plane? I thought this blog would be lighting up by now. I have the Littlefoot ( like it a lot ) and really like the looks of this Muscle Coupe and just looking for info on it.

Thanks I'll watch for reports . Really a 52 inch would suit me better, or even a 48. Really like the looks of this . Guess I have a thing for rounded tails, haha! Maybe that's why my 3DHS Yak 55m is my favorite plane.

My build is going slowly but going. I plugged the existing holes on the firewall since I am putting a Rimfire 80 on it which has a slightly larger bolt circle. Will use Hitec 5245's. They fit the servo openings perfect! The ailerons and flaps went on perfect with little variation on the whole length of the gap. The proportions of the plane remind me of a Taylorcraft

The clear windows on the side are very well done. I will not be using CA on the wood joints for fear of fogging them. Will post some pictures if I get a chance.

Had to do a double take on the servo pushrod in the fuse .... ha ha

The rain FINALLY stopped long enough in the Pacific Northwest to do the maiden and a couple more flights on the new Legacy Aviation 72" Muscle Coupe!! What a sweetheart of a sport flyer, especially when you set it up by the book instead of just eyeballing it... 😁 I used the same setup as I have on my Turbo duster and Bushmaster and was thrilled with how graceful she flew. I actually found myself taking out a little more rudder and it just made it that much more clean.

In order to have full length ailerons I only have one setting of flaps (about 30 degrees) but with about 14 degrees of down mixed in she would idle in at a crawl! full-length ailerons make it roll axial like an Extra while ailerons only will need some differential.

For sure it's a great addition to the Legacy Aviation lineup and I can't wait to take her out again!!
