F18 OS91 balsa build

OK if you are going to laser cut go to //F18layout 0offset//shutdown layer //EDF4.5//
now top layout is cut from 5.5mm / 6mm x 1200mm x 300mm birch ply one former is important F5 this former supports the wings so get the gran of the ply running along the wing brace to give it as much strength as you can it has to be good ply and the spars that run top and bottom must be from softwood.

//F18layout 0offset// shutdown layer //EDF4.5//
next 2 layout are from 3mm x 1200mm x 300mm light ply on the second layout you have the wing ribs you need to cut two that's is all the ribs and formers up to and including H3BOS91 on the image in purple you have to have two of each all the other former just one on that layout.
3 layout 3mm x 1200mm x 300mm light ply

canopy in the video are 3 ways to make plug for vac forming first i routed out a hard wood plug then a foam block and sanded it to shape on the model this will give you one good pull after that it gos out of shape but if you use the first pull and mix up sum plaster of paris i use dry lining adhesive works great or you can 3D print it for a plug

i use rhino can for router and stl and Simplify3D for printing and just your eye for sanding
in the cd cut files you have there are dwg /stl / dxf / 3dm files the stl will 3d print dxf to make g code and a g code for match3 for your cnc router

F18 canipy (2 min 10 sec)

Hi, were at this stage right now.
We went to a CNC cutter and they told us that the .tap files you sent couldn't be used because they're set up for a specific machine and could end up breaking their cutter. Could you please send me the canopy, cowl plug and elevator files in AutoCAD 3D format so they can be cut and/or procesed for the CNC machine? Thanks

yes the g code is setup for my router and it depends if you have the o,o,o set to the bed or the top of box stock.
in the zip you should have a extension format .STL this is a stander 3d format i have attached new stl files in zip for you

make sour that the wing spars in red on image are out of softwood and fitted as image this give good support to wings the trailing edge and rear spar goes through as fare as you can to add strength to wing you have to add packers off the top of the uc plat to under the spares
