CrossAlps an new RC-Para is born

The CrossAlps was developed by the multiple German champions in RC paragliding, Sascha Rentel and Joachim Schweigler. Their long-term experience has been incorporated into the model to provide you with the best possible feasibility at the time.
A must for the ambitious RC paraglider.

Very nice schorsch!
Any chance you can do flight review? I think some areas of Germany are already under snow

currently is not a good flying weather

But I flew the proto and for this screen there is a flight report, which I would describe exactly like that. The report is from J. Schweigler

Test flight recording based on a flight weight of 3.2kg:

The CrossAlps starts very easy. It can be raised just as easily as a SingleSkin umbrella. He is absolutely not bitchy, as far as the correct interpretation. This is where the D10 cloth plays all its strength. Tailwind starts are possible with a little practice. Accelerator is very effective and recommended here. The umbrella opens reliably complete, fluttering ears when starting usually not occur. The departure is quick and can be slowed down effectively by "braking".

The CrossAlps indicates excessive gas usage early and clearly. He responds very well to the accelerator. Power stalls are not to be feared even with moderate weight.
In the air, the CrossAlps literally turns on the plate. There are no oscillations around both axes. The tear-off behavior, symmetrical as well as asymmetrical, is extremely good-natured. The CrossAlps indicates the approaching stall long before. The cap visibly softens and begins to lose directional stability. The glider can be purposefully fly in the sack flight, which is even easier with full accelerator. Negative turns, so-called helicopters are easy to control, the discharge relatively easy. FullStalls are extremely effective and quite sophisticated to divert. It must be said that the CrossAlps is designed as a high performance and can react accordingly sharp. By means of a metered diversion procedure, the flight condition can be safely stopped. An accidental Fullstall will not occur in normal flight operations.

The flyable speed range is enormous. Unaccelerated, the CrossAlps flies quite fast. It can be broken down a lot of speed by braking. The sink rate is reduced slightly. Thermal flights are such a breeze. Fully accelerated, the CrossAlps shows no tendency to shut down in calm air. In B÷iger air, the cap works hard, but rattles are very rare. Should the glider collapse, the reactions are accelerated, as unaccelerated, very subdued. The screen does not turn away abruptly or unchecked. He slowly changes his direction depending on the rattle size. Usually, the umbrella will open automatically after a short time, pumping up with a brake is effective, but mostly unnecessary.
The CrossAlps is not an acro screen, but I have successfully flown with him the following maneuvers:

- Looping
- Fullstall
- Helicopter
- Spiral spiral
- Wingover
... and all combinations of it. The screen gives good feedback at all times. There were uncontrolled situations in the tests, none.
The landing is very easy thanks to the extremely effective brake. Float, fly out, catch (or settle on the ground).

To conclude the following: The above written one of the test protocols of mine, made for the last prototype (orange) This corresponds in the construction series status.
The lightweight D10 cloth, EXCLUSIVE with us, brings with it many advantages that you did not have in the past with the model screens. The old wisdom, "easily flies easily" is confirmed even with a light paraglider to 100%. The CrossAlps is almost as easy to act as a normal single skin, but with much more performance and speed.
