Build Log

1/3 Scale Piper J3 Cub from Paolo Severin

Hi there...

Actually I bought this kit over a year ago... Well for starters I do not have a lot of spare time, and secondly it is a rather complex kit, so I am FAR from the finished plane

And it is getting "worse" as I am adding a lot of detail.

Admit I should have started this thread a long time ago. Now it seems like a big task to write about all the steps. So I will begin with a lot of pictures. Feel free to ask questions.

keep up the good work mate, well jealous! if it were mine I would add all the detail and not cover the model, just hang it and admire the work..........

James ... It is kind of tempting, but I am afraid it would require a rather big Jet turbine to get it flying without covering

I am too awestruck to comment on such a beautiful plane. Yes, definitely please continue if you have the time and want to spend the effort. I am enjoying the pictures. The plane is incredible and your workmanship is excellent. Besides it is way too big a plane to build in my workshop. You must have very good weather to be able to build outside.

As another poster said it is such a shame to cover up the frame when you are done. Too bad they don't make clear covering strong enough for this airframe.
