Thread OP

Can I use the 7th channel on my RX with a 6 channel Tx

I've seen a thread similar to this but cannot locate

I've got a 6 channel TX and a 7 channel RX I want to be able to use the 7th channel.

It will controlled by using a switch which will operate when another servo starts to move (lets assume its the flaps ).

So when the flaps start moving (using a dial on my TX) a switch will be activated (its actually a computer mouse button switch) and I want it to activate a servo which will travel from full closed to full open (it will open a 'door' like an undercarriage door)

Can this be done in some way??????

(I've plugged in the 7th channel servo and it growls at its end point.)

Cheers guys

No, sorry! With some fancier Tx's you can set them up to use channel 5 or 6 in a channel limited Rx with channel 7 or 8 on the Tx but if the Tx doesn't put out a signal on channel 7 you are SOL.

Yes. You need a "Gear & Door Sequencer" such as sold by

This does not need a seventh channel. It is slaved off an existing gear channel.
