Sorry, no the racerstar are 22.5gms with 2mm gold connectors and heat shrink added... the gartt motors are 23.5gms with the same connectors..
with sunnysky at 25.5gms again with connectors.. the Racerstar win out...
A possible week spot on the racerstar is where the wires exit the motor, but that can be reinforced with a bit of glue..

If you want a PI-plane its easy enough.. try one at 22" dia... with the Quasar body.. or scale the body down and do a wing/circle to suit it.
here is R/Cdawg's one at 18"...
.
DISCO V2 9mm EPP PiPlane (2 min 34 sec)

Yes, that is more or less what I did with the Disco but I increased the vertical fuselage area from what the Quasar has.

it seemed like a good idea.. so here is one at 22"
AUW 217gms with a 500 2s lipo.... 2.9ozsqft
I kept to the standard fuselage shape, Ive tried fat fuselages but on the quasars I cant tell any difference in flight..

great flying on the disco.....lol..I only just realised that was yours..duh!
my next indoor session is on the 9th jan.. ..that will give me plenty of time to add some color..
where did your COG get set at.... I usually start at about 25%..
but yours is doing some very nice tight loops and bunts...

Right at the 25% mark. It's very agile but still tracks well at this location.

4 Quasar variations and a disco..

both discos have now maidened and are flying well.. some video is on the disc thread
the smaller 18" is the most fun..
They follow the usual, smaller is more agile, larger is more docile, guides

22" disco vs 22" quasar... I prefer the Quasar v2 version....

Ive just altered a 19.5" fatty v3 quasar to an 18.5 v2 wing..
I am going to do a comparison with the 18" fat disco...
Both have the same gear setup...

actually, I have lost count of the variations that have been made...
I started with just the basic3 which all went well.. They used 3 wing shapes and two body shapes..

But then I made a couple of mistakes, two ended up with shorter bodies, they were being made for my flying buddies, even so they also flew great
And now I have deliberate mix ups at various sizes and I am using alternate fat body shapes..

All of the models have flown very well...
They are very suited for our hall, which is a hard harsh environment....and so are popular at our club..

The quasar is a great design.. there are other deltas , but this one is my favourite.
The basic v2, being my standard, goes out every week
At the moment I have 7 keepers , of various sizes and versions in my hanger....
