Dave,
There typically is no spar in these wings, so yes, just sploog and wrap. There is PDF of the drawings for the B17 in the second post of the B17 build.

Very typical for these to get glued together and a fiberglass tape wrap to tie the skins together and done! No need for interior structure.
Cheers

Excellent Tom, glad you like the tray.

I still have servo tray kits for those builders planning on mounting the aileron servo in the fwd fuse and the elevator servo on the deck.

All tray request have been shipped, so if you haven't received yours, it should be delivered this week.

Cheers!

Removable wing

I got the wing bolted up and the scoop fit and glued. Now for a little glass and filler to shape to the fuse. I still need a front block to blend the fuse to the wing.

Still cleaning, waxing , pva, cutting cloth and laying up fuses

Wow,
Looks sweet Joe

Building a plane and laying up fuses at the same time is no simple task.

Cheers !

Does anyone in this build use two wing servos to allow for flapperons?

Dave, most guys use a single servo. Flapperons don’t offer much benefit, if any, on a plane with this small of a span. There’s usually one guy who will try it.

Are you that guy Dave? You know you are. We know you are. Just post pictures

I've seen it done. Servos can be smaller since each is only handling half the load. Servos mounted in line so they stay inside the fuselage opening.

Some us do so that we have Flaperons. More effective on larger wing span, but you do have easy adjustment of the ailerons. Reflex and camber is possible with two servos. Added cost and weight are the negatives.
