Basically, I poke around the board with DMM and take a look at target definition file in flight controller software. When all else fails, I ask the manufacturer. They usually don't give out the entire schematics, but tends to answer "Where is XXX is going?" or "Is YYY really connected to ZZZ?" type questions

Say TL, have you by any chance mapped TX2? Or is it already committed to a function?

If you can break out the corresponding pin, you can use TX2 by assigning the pin to "serial_tx 2" (default is NONE).

EDIT
PD5 is open.

Hi teralift, Is it possible to have Tx7 on this board? The reason i ask because i need following on my omnibus F7 V2:
1)Sbus------------UART 2
2)Smart port-----UART1
3)GPS------------UART 6
4)I2C compass-UART 3
5)Tx to output mavlink telemetry for my connex prosight.

So i am short of one uart as i can't use uart7 for my connex mavlink because of missing Tx7.Thanks

Thanks for confirming.

What's your opinion about using F-port as my frsky Rx supports Fport firmware. Can i use F-port on FC's Sbus pad to spare one Uart?If yes then is it as reliable as Sbus?

If you don't do hardware mods such as semi-micro soldering, F.Port is your only option

With micro soldering, did you mean soldering straight to the F7 MCU pins?I have done some soldering using single strand kynar wire soldering straight to the atmega 128 pins but not sure about F7.I can definitely try that but need guidance.

If i can hook up smart port on extra UART created by soldering method on Inav firmware, then it would be nice and less risky as it will be transferring telemetry signal only.

F.Port is not bad. Haven't heard any practical problem yet.

I think the risk of creating a useless F7 board + burden of creating (and possibly maintaining) a custom target for iNav is somewhat larger than risk of F.Port failing during flight.
