!!!From Jim Marski Executive Director- Rocky Mountain Hobby-Expo The show is primarily a consumer event for 2017, although some manufacturers and distributors will be attending, including HRP. The event is being held in partnership with the Academy of Model Aeronautics. There will be hands -on demos of drones, traxxas racing, crawling and Tamiya Mini4WD as well as wild rc stunt car demos by the staff of BigSquidRC and nitro car racing and nitro heli demos by VP Racing Fuels. The 2018 event will have a full trade show component, sponsored by the Hobby Manufacturers Association, in advance of the consumer event. Next year’s dates are October 26th-28th, 2018. I expect 15,000 attendance this year based on the marketing program in place. The consumer format is driven by hands-on demos and workshops with vendors onsite to sell the products !RC Cars and Trucks R/C Cars and Trucks come in all shapes, sizes and price ranges for racing and off-road crawling. Visit the show for hands-on demos, workshops and great deals! See the latest products from Castle, Hitec, Hobao, HPI, Kimbrough, Kyosho, LOSI, Proline, RC4WD, Redcat, Tamiya, Team Associated, Traxxas and Thunder Tiger. Check out the racing and crawler demos, our Nitro car racing sponsored by SVP Fuels and the Tamiya Mini4WD make and race event! If Dad has been good, bring him to the show to see the newest offerings from Ares, Blade, DJI, Dromida, Kyosho, Rage, Traxxas, Walkera and Yuneec. From three blade nanos to FPV (First Person View) quads, it’s all here! Check out the hands-on demos and workshops, sponsored by our partner HobbyTown and get an update on FAA regulations from our partners at the Academy of Model Aeronautics. Click here for some wild drone racing action. !Trains The model railroading hobby runs the gamut from Thomas the Tank Engine and a train under the Christmas tree to painstakingly detailed layouts that are incredibly realistic. Model railroaders recreate an earlier time and place and connect us with the country’s history in a tangible way. Model railroading layouts can be made in one of many scales ranging from 1:220 to 1:22.5 of real size that run inside or out in your garden. Model railroaders build skills in carpentry, electronics, painting, and the mechanics of how things work. !RC Planes & Helicopters There is arguably nothing more exciting than flying a radio control helicopter through the air, or nailing a perfect landing of an R/C aircraft! Visit the show to see the latest planes, helis and accessories from Aign, Ares, Blade, Castle, E-Flite, Futaba, Hitec, Protek,Spektrum and Traxxas. We’ll have RC workshops, hands-on control line flying with our partner Academy of Model Aeronautics and Nitro fuel helicopter demos courtesy of SVP Fuels. !RC Boats Experience speed on the water! Visit the show for RC boating workshops and to see the latest from Helion, ProBoat and Traxxas. Click here here for a wild RC boat racing video. !More Info Additional information may be found at -
