T-28 Trojan 1200mm

Hi there,

I'm starting a new project today.
This time is a classic, and I'm planning to do it with all the bells and whistles (retracts, flaps, scale details, etc).
I started with the plans, which you can find below.

Specs:
Wingspan - 1200mm
AUW - 1300-1500g
Motor - Turnigy D3548/6 790KV
ESC - 60A
Battery - 4S 2200mAh
Retracts (nose wheel) - HK-15090S
Retracts (main) - HKD-312

Wish me luck!

well my CAD doesnt recognize your version of SKP :<{{{{{

So unless you are willing to provide an earlier version save of SKP
then I'll just have to wait for more development on your part.

regardless, still lurking ;>}

Hi folks,

I take a chair an look forward the next steps !

Thanks to you, i discovered that the French Air Force had used some T-28 - They was called AT-28D "Fennec" The paint scheme and markings are rather unusual for a French Airforce plane... :

Have a nice day !

I saw that one. It had a cammo desert paint scheme that I really liked.
I don't want to paint it in the classic red/white or the new yellow that RTF manufacturers are using.
Will decide later...

Step 1

Preparing all the foam blocks for the different sections of the fuselage.
C1-C2 for the cowl
F1-F2 for nose
F2-F3 for middle front (where the wing goes)
F3-F4 for middle rear
F4-F5 for middle tail
F5-F6 for tail (where the horizontal stab goes)

What CAD do you use? I'm using the latest version of Sketchup...
Might be able to export it in some format your CAD software recognises?

Rhino 5,0
but It apparently is NOT capable of importing the most recent version of SKP files.
I have imported older SKP files many times and quite successfully too.
Mostly obtained from Lockey over on the other sid of OZ ;>}

Thanx for reply and attempt,

Bob

Please, can someone convert mperaltaoz's files to .dwg or .dxf? My main computer runs Linux (for which there is no Sketchup), and Sketchup won't run on my wife's Win 7 machine (Win 10 won't run on it). I'm trying to learn how to build with foam, and the best way I now is by looking at other people's work.
