My first post

That´s a plasure to write my first post here, I´m from Brazil and sometimes I fly my planes with Omar Grasseti and Eduardo Yamin.

I´ve just finished my first Guillow´s plane. It´s a Fly Boy with 35grams of final weight including the rubber.

Judging from the video it flew very well. Especially considering the original kit wood was used - I'm sure that stuff is about 7 times too heavy

Thank´s Tom and Gerbil,

The video that you´ve seen is just another guy with a Fly Boy.

I will try to make the first video at this weekend.

I´ll post the video here too.

I found a guy that made a Fly Boy with all the original parts of the kit, the final weight was 54grams with rubber. I think I made the diet version rsrsrs

FLYF1D, That's a great video. This is the first time I've seen F1D's in flight. They look fragile and I'm sure they are. It still amazes me something can defy gravity like that and at such a slow velosity. I'll stick with the LPP for now.

F1B is ok.
Hello Rich, very fine model and a nice video. Here a Aero Model-Cover with the "Jaguar".

From the vaults...

A Kinner Airster, at the old Mile Square flying site in SoCal. Scaled from a 3-view and article published by Bill Hannan.

Great flyer, but not really competitive as a rubber model due to the drag of all that rigging.

Gerbil, I finally flew my Fly Boy, this is the video of the first and second flight.

Without any trimming and 50% of rubber power.

Thanks all the replies!!

Guillow's models haven't always been "bricks"....I received this photo from fellow modeller Inge Ahlin, showing his Guillow's Piper J2...looking very lightweight...
The photo was taken 1947.
