Darvin,
Is that the regular size PF? Looks a little bigger in the pics.

I can tell you from experience that you will need to have washout in both wingtips.

As far as the shrinking, a preferred method for this type of aircraft is to crumple the tissue into a tight ball, thereby breaking the fibers making it impervious to shrinking. Iron the tissue and place it with a glue stick. Nothing more. I really recommend that you do this now as the tissue you have on the plane will continue to shrink and change your flight surfaces. Plus how can you create washout without steaming and thus shrinking the tissue?

That said, it is a wonderful little flyer. I use 1/16 rubber and get 1 minute flights.

Hoarding balsa is a sickness
I love the Flash, I have 2 of them that are 150% size and CO/2 powered. I see that your plans talk about RC conversion...how cool would that be ? Be carefull taking it outside and exposing it to any kind of dampness, it will shrink the tissue.

Thanks all for the info and advice. I think I'll leave it as is for now and see how it flies. I enjoy building much more than covering.

I have a few indoor duration kits here but no where to fly. That being said I have the book, Building and Flying indoor model airplanes by Ron Williams and have been looking over it again. I think I'm leaning toward an indoor flyer for my next build.

It doesn't always look like this. Actually, my work station for building airplanes is a drafting table with a replaced top of compressed chip wood. I work with it set at a slight angle, like I was drafting on paper. And I use it to draft on paper after putting down mat board for a smooth surface.

Thanks Jim. I had a back log of planes to finish. I still have a small Warhawk to tissue and put together plus I want to move forward with the Liberator. I'm working again so I don't have the time I used to have for building but I'm happy to get to work catching up on projects when I can. I've just been busy.
