Joe wagner dakota


Had this poor thing sitting on the shelf for few yrs and finally decided to bring it back to life, its the immortal Joe Wagner Dakota with a sweet lil OK CUB , could be functual but preserved for time capsule

Ok, this model was previously posted in its own thread, but I post a few pics in here as well....
This is my own experimental design, "taylor made" for a small 6 mm motor + a 7F condenser. Span is 13". AUW is 12.5 grams.
Despite its obvious limits, it provides lots of fun at small-ish fields.....
So far. it has generated a fair bit of chasing and tree-climbing, (probably) healthy exercises for ageing modelers....

I can relate, am 68 and still chasing FF models on foot!

When designing (i.e. scribbling down) this model, my two main "guiding stars" were low (although practical) wing loading, and not least low drag (as I knew nothing of what power to expect from this motor setup)........hence its somewhat "bird-like" look.....

T-28A Trojan


T-28A for rubber FF - 24" span. Finish is silver, orange, white and blue esaki with black esaki trim. White and orange tissue were chalked to bring out the color. Just shy of 54g without rubber.
