Comoz Twin

My latest design I thought I would combine the wings and motor nacelles from my Mosquito and a fuselage similar to the DH88 Comet ..

1330 mm wing span and 1100 mm long and I am fitting retracts ... I am expecting it to weigh about 1.5 kg - 1.7 kg all up

I am using 5mm Hobby King foam sheet for the wings and all the bendy bits (2 sheets) and 6mm Depron for the flat bits and formers (1 sheet)

As the nacelles are the most fiddly of the build, I thought I would get these out of the way first

Nice nacelles. Bet it was nice using your CNC machine to cut out all those bits!

I've been really looking forward to seeing this build. It'll be a real beauty I reckon.

Thanks Adam, yes mate it was great not having to cut out all those bits nacelles were a bit fiddly .. just a bit time consuming and you don't seem to have done much .. and you have to make sure you do a RH and a LH too

Just hoping that the legs on the retracts aren't too long

As alwasy mate, very detailed build.
If I print them at 80%, will it get around 1100mm ws?????

I don't usually say this to other blokes but that's a beautiful looking tail section.

Hi Duke .. 80% you will get 1130.5 mm WS (44.5 inches) .. its not like you to want to go smaller .. usually the opposite, you want to go bigger

Plans are on their way .. by the way, you will probably find the formers need a little sanding as you are using Depron .. they were pretty good
for the 5mm HK foam (maybe even a tad on the small side)

Looks fantastic as usual Tony , I might even have some time for building in the near future and this one will be on the top of my list.

Thanks Kev, let me know when you are ready to build and I will send you the plans .. how about you David .. if you never finished the Mosquito, you could simply build this fuselage and use the wings you made for the Mozzi .. exactly the same wings .. well, near enough
