I started with an 18x8 and then 18x10 ...I like the 18x8 bo problems ,great power .
I think I have a Falcon woody on there now. |

It flew well, but I just could not avoid bouncy landings. Sold it to a club member who made it a 30cc gasser. Bouncy landings continues. |

I’m using the recommended motor (the 160?) and an APC prop. Works fine. Also, this plane is not prone to nosing over, so if you prefer wood or even carbon fibre, low risk of breaking while taxiing.
But it is tricky to get a perfect landing. The gear are a bit too springy in my opinion, and any imperfection in touchdown will put you 4-6 feet back in the air. |

A fast burst of throttle (1 second) before you touchdown will help with that .
The Falcon props are excellent , haven't broken one yet in the plane ..the more time you spend flying it , the more you will love it ! The gear is a bit spongy.. a piece of piano wire about the thickness of a pushrod with a electrical wire eye connector ( the type you can crimp wire into and has an eye for screw connection..REMOVE PLASTIC INSULATION) soldered to each end then mounted in a "X" works well for this . I can grease the landings on this plane but that "X" mod works well on gear that is too soft . Stiff gear can also cause problems . The "X" brace and a softer wheel setup may help. |

Wheel hub diameter?
Hello. I'm considering purchasing the wheels used on this model for another project. They are the only lightweight wheels in this size, and in stock, that I can find. Can one of the owners of this aircraft tell me the axle diameter for these wheels? Thanks.

According to the instruction manual the wheels are listed as being 110 mm, which would translate to 4.33" in diameter. Looks like there is plenty of area to ream to whatever size you would need, probably somewhere close to 1/4" is my guess. My Byron 3rd scale RV 4 I am currently working on has 4 1/2" wheels on a 1/4" axle.

I lucked up and snagged the last one of these and the last big Nexa OV-10 Bronco in just the past couple of days lol. RV arrived yesterday!!! I already have the power setup after suddenly losing A Phoenix Models 107 in Super Cub I'd built using the EFlite Power 160 motor when from best I can tell on my video the left aileron servo went out right upon takeoff.

Think I'm going to like this one and it will fly 8-10 minutes on a 5000mah 10S pack. I put this plane in a slot already programmed on my radio for a 107 inch Super Cub that had elevator/flap mix which obviously was not a good mix on this bird.

Loops the moon at 2:35. I think I'm really going to like this plane and am shocked I will easily get 10 minutes of flight out of these batteries. 5 minutes is about my mind limit however. This same setup was good for about 8 minutes mixed flying in a Phoenix 107 inch Super Cub.
