Hello,

In this project i will use the parts that got left over from the Kyosho Smax build with some donor parts from an 1/10 scale car.
The purpose of the build is to make the Remo ridiculously tall with big 1/10 scale wheels.



For powering the car i will use the same principal as in the Kyosho Smax meaning a 550 brushed motor on a aluminum base with a helicopter pinion.
The body i will be using is the body of the 9116 car along with the rear wing and Remo SCT bumper which i have ordered.

The idea for the build came from the Kyosho Hi-Rider




So i though i would do my lame version of it


Also i have treated the inside of the 9116 body with paper tape and glue




The parts needed wont be that many or expensive and i consider this build much easier than the Kyosho Smax

Roughly i will need:

* A arms of an 1/10 car and all the accessories that attach to it, hubs, axles, dogbones, ball bearings etc
* Shocks ( that i already have )
* 550 motor
* Brushed esc
* Helicopter pinion ( already have 13T )
* 1/10 scale wheels
* Maybe axle wideners
* 3s battery ( already have )

This one will be 4x4 right?

I think it will be 4x4 if the 13T pinion allows me to space the motor away from the axle transferring power to the front.

If not i will have to find a much bigger pinion like 17T or 19T.

Also i hope to make this all wheel steering aswell

I need some suggestions for a high torque motor that will be able to turn those big wheels.

I guess it will be a brushed one because otherwise i will have horrible cogging like i did with the Kyosho Smax

I already have some small 2440 brushless motors @ 4000KVand 4600KV but i think i need lower KVs

a 540 would do nicely. I use a 2150kv brushless sensored motor on my remo crawler, and it has crazy power. Enough to pop wheelies at will , which in my case is a bad thing though since its supposed to be a crawler

Does a 540 fit ?

When i used a 540 motor on the Kyosho Smax build the motor was blocking the central plastic shaft transmitting power to the front wheels.

Plus the 540 motors have a different shaft diameter and the pinion will not fit. I had that issue with Kyosho Smax aswell and ended up using a helicopter pinion and an L mount to install the motor

I just need a better 390 brushed motor or a very low KV brushless. Can i use the original Feiyue motor ? is that supposed to be better than the one in Remo ?

I need torque since i am turning the Remo into something like a Monster Truck. I also want a motor that will do 3s

Stock, no a 540 would not fit.

I guess, maybe maybe not only one way to find out..

The price is cheap and the dimensions seem correct 390 can with 2.3mm shaft.
So i may risk it

Look on Hobbyking for a 0.7m pinion https://hobbyking.com/en_us/catalogs...t/?cat=&q=0.7m.
Get a 5mm to 3.175mm reducer like this https://www.amazon.com/Robinson-Raci.../dp/B0015BJNH4
Then get a 2845 brushless motor of your choice they are roughly the same size as a 390 brushed motor.
