That's a nice aggressive number. I was seeing about 143A at 44.22v which was at about 6720 RPM and about 6300W at few feet above sea level.
This means that if my test stand batts were able to hold 46.32v with the prop at WOT, I'd probably see the 158A peak reported off the Castle log by EF in their first Xpwr60 video review. Some of that 158A could also be from high spikes in current you can get by jamming the throttle to pull out of a hover. But I think your 141A is a solid number at the realistic voltage we typically will see with a 12 pitch. |

What other motors are people using besides the Xtreme flight ones? How about dualsky/hacker/scorpion/motrolfly?

I think you're going to find that the XPWR 60 is 'the' motor for this plane.

Why would you??? Like SteveT said above the XPwr 60 is the motor for the plane and just a great motor.

Yeah, the 190Kv makes it a bit more powerful compared to the others and although the DM5335 can be wound to 200Kv, it doesn't have the same power range as the Xpwr60 because of the props it can spin to about 82-84 percent efficiency.
The Hacker Q80-8M is a 180Kv and can power this plane to a decent power loading if you're not concerned with ballistic performance but you're paying a lot for a Hacker. The GA-6000 is also a powerful motor too but you won't get 6200-6400 Watts at nominal voltage like the Xpwr60 will. It's truly a 60-70cc motor. Scorpion does not have the third rear ring bearing that stabilizes the shaft in 3D maneuvers and will not manage the bigger props that the Motrolfly, Hacker, and Xpwr can. |

Well i guess if i decide to get one of these the Xpwr motor will be a top contender to power it. I’d like to see the other scheme that is going to be offered.
