[QUOTE=Jim85IROC;38790233]Those parts are essentially the same as their plastic counterparts, with the exception of not having the stop that limits the steering on the plastic knuckle. In that regard, yes, they help, but that stop is extremely easy to remove on the plastic knuckle anyway. Steering improvements are well documented by now. Between Reptileman and myself (as well as others), there should be no shortage of information on improving it.
Still would be nice if someone made a kit with a pre-bent arm to clear the pumpkin. I'm sure there will be one sooner or later |

I suppose, but replacing some end links isn't really all that difficult, and it's a lot cheaper.
I believe the Traxxas TRX4 steering link has the same (or very similar) dimensions, and is bent to provide much more clearance, so the steering link for that truck could be an option for those who want a bolt-on solution. |

What about redcat p/n 180090s?

Based on discussions I had with the guy at Redcat, that whole setup is designed to revise the geometry to correct the ackerman. To do that, the steering connections on the knuckles are moved closer to the wheels, which requires a longer link. For the $20 cost, it looks like a nice setup. I'll probably order it for mine.

Some great stuff on this thread! Subbed!
Just got the Redcat Volcano ...still on it's way....and now eyeing this rock crawler. Looks impressive for the price. |

Great video I just watched showing the differences between the Sport and Pro Models.
Much bigger differences than I thought. Pro has Skid plates, no body pins, more metal parts, and even better foam in the tires. Worth watching...
