GDU O2-A New Portable Drone Built for Everyone

GDU O2-A New Portable Drone Built for Everyone

GDU O2 is the first drone to truly bring drone technology to anyone and everyone based on extreme usability, portability and price

GDU O2-Everyone Everywhere Anytime (3 min 49 sec)

GDU O2 covers all the requirements for being the “perfect storm” of drone technology: it carries the lowest price for a full-function, portable drone that is safe and easy to fly and captures top-quality video. The GDU O2 is truly the best go-to option for the everyday drone – for everyone, everywhere, anytime.

GDU O2 Stats:
-Obstacle Avoidance: A binocular system prevents the drone from hitting obstacles in its flight path. Instead of flying toward the objects, it will detect the obstacles and hover.
-Gesture Identification: The camera can sense different gestures and perform smart tasks such as taking pictures, videos, move towards or away from the pilot, and hover at a safe distance.
-Follow-Me Mode: Uses a visual sensor to detect the target and follow the target with a set distance.
-Orbiting Function: Uses visual sensor to detect the target and circle around it with the camera facing the target.
-Smart Shot: With the smart shot modes, the O2 can take 10-second short videos in three different pre-set flight modes: Circle, Rocket and Dronie.
-Selfie Mode: The O2 will identify an object and fly to a pre-set distance to get the best shot – both photos and videos are available in this mode.
-Burst Mode: The O2 will taking five burst pictures with five different zoom specs from the same spot with a single button press to give multiple perspectives in one shot.
-Vertical Burst: The O2 will take off vertically with camera facing down in 3m/s speed while take continuous pictures every two seconds to give multiple perspectives in one shot.
-Time-Lapse Shot: Record and play ratio 6:1
-Slow-Mo Shot: Record and play ratio 6:1

Thanks, what about altitude control. Obviously altitude hold and vps positioning; what about dynamic altitude (baro equipped device) or terrain following. I travel up and down trails with rapid elevation changes and dynamic altitude is helpful. VPS altitude helps uphill but is useless downhill.

Are there 3 versions of this drone? I saw on some video (foreign language couldn't understand) they showed 3 version, with a "1k 7k 10k" difference.. Is that travel distance ability?

I'd be shocked if something so small could make it 10k out (and back) on one battery.

Here's some footage, if you read the comments it appears they may have had issues with the gimbal.

Video shot by O2 With new gimbal at 90 degree pitching angle (2 min 53 sec)

Yes apparently GDU delayed release of the 02 due to issues with the gimbal "camera shake if flying at high speed & cam looking downward"

GDU O2 explained (3 min 46 sec)

The good new is, the GDU 02 should be available in a few weeks. Let's hope so.
