Ah that makes sense about both the aspect and just thickness in general. I was thinking I could get away with an ultra thin wing if I split battery cells and then the only thing sticking up would be the camera, motor, and antennas. But that would give the wing a longer chord and therefore worse aspect ratio.
What about something like the rq-3 darkstar? A thicker chord wing section with high sweep then a high aspect ratio wing that's much thinner. But now you've got me interested in planks! |

Pretty much is a drop in. However if you aren't looking to add an OSD then the 200mW AIOs are all you need, I was using a Sinopine with a CL antenna in place of the dipole and the range was excellent. Much further than my Taranis could go.

Congrats on very nice and light build. I have a 'similarish' (micro-vector) 2s set up in on a Caipirinha wing. An issue I noted when using a 2s Li-ion set up (vs a 2s HV lipo) was voltage sag causing a power brown-out warning with punching the power. Did you notice this at all with your Li-ion use? Regards |
