Dynam P-61 Blackwidow

We are so proud to announce that the new product Dynam P-61 Black Widow 1.5m twin-engined warbirds is launched in these days. Believe that most of pilots are familiar with P-61. Named for the American spider, it was the first operational U.S. warplane designed as a night fighter with nearly all black appearance.

Description:

Dynam P-61 Black Widow 1.5m adopts two Tomcat BM3512A-KV650 motors to provide enough power and uses the skylord 40A ESCs to control precisely. The counter-rotating 10.5×8 propellers effectively bring good flight performance and scale appearance. 4S 4000mAh battery can greatly extend the flight time for pilot.

Description:
The four flaps design can increase the takeoff speed and reduce the landing speed, which makes the flight smoothly.

Considering the convenience of assembly and transport, Dynam P-61 Black Widow’s outer wings and rear engine nacelles can be detected. As for a large airplane, Dynam P-61 can be portable to carry.

There are four navigation lights on the Dynam P-61 Black Widow. The light on the left wing tip is red and on the right is green. The two lights on the leading edge of the wing are white. Pilots can understand the location and working direction of the airplane during the night flight by these lights.

Multiple configurations are provided to pilots.PNP configuration includes the airplane, servos, ESCs and motors. Based on the PNP, RTF adds the transmitter, receiver, battery and charger, and RTB adds the stabilization receiver. SRTF adds the transmitter, battery and charger based on the RTB.

Next few days?!

I figured I had a little while for this one!

Uuugh. Well, I was good when I went to the LHS this weekend. I guess I deserve this.

Was this one not a cooperation with MotionRC? They were all up in the B-26 thread but they've been mostly quiet about this one. Last time i looked they didn't even have a thread for it on the Squawk.

A smart RC consumer won't purchase an initial release as that's where all the manufacturing bugs/flaws will surface as was quite evident with the touted Marauder that was a turd IMO. All the initial reports/postings of the Marauder really defined the low/lower quality & minimal QC of Dynam & the unnecessary repairs/refitting needed to make it airworthy. Are you listening Dynam??????? You tease everyone with a new model that looks to be in demand & end up hurrying production to meet the market & end up with a very poor product QC wise. Not everyone wants to spend countless hours fixing unneeded/unnecessary issues & not having spare parts available or ending up with having to go thru an RMA. You definitely lost a sale with me for the Marauder as I'm still in the market for a twin & the Avios Bush Mule looks better & better each day towards my Christmas present to myself. We'll see how the BlackWidow fares with the release reports.

I don't think anyone's said the Marauder was a turd. It needed a minor modification to suit some peoples' flying comfort, but the vast majority are flying just fine without said modification.

Some of us know how not to snap a plane, or how to recover if it does happen. I don't think anyone's actually reported a crash due to it...

I agree with Rampage, the Marauder is a nice model. Not a turd. True, it needs some attention to some details but its a good-flying and unique model once those issues have been addressed. There's nothing else like it - I fly mine a lot and enjoy it.

Its true that its not a "fine scale" model, but its OK. None of the proportions are out of whack and it looks pretty good. Dynam could certainly improve some things going forward. (I did my share of grumbling on the Squawk) I really expect that the P61 will be identical in terms of the quality issues we saw with the Marauder - and it will have the same ridiculous racecar tires, but any modeler with a little building experience will be able to fix those things easily and quickly.

From the release it seems that Dynam is providing an improved lighting package which is good. The Marauder doesn't have wingtip lights.

I am looking forward to having the Widow along with my Marauder. I wonder what they will come up with next!

Counter rotating props? May help handling but not scale.

Wow, the first place they refer you to to buy the P-61 only wants $999.00 for the kit. I wish them lots of luck. They certainly won't sell anything to me at that price.

Who cares about scale to that extreme, other than you? Dynam is 'stand off scale' and doesn't claim to
be a scale nazi's dream. If extreme scale detail is what you want, look at other brands.
