Poor Man`s Jet

I was looking for a group to put my post in , could not find anything that would match.
The reason why I am posting here is because at the beginning of designing this thing I wanted to use .15 engine but than changed my mind and went with .25

Anyway what You see in here is my second attempt at designing an airplane.
My first attempt Nakajima Ki43 has been put to ,one day i`ll finish it, pile.

When designing it I was working from Boomerang Sprint pictures .

Some info:
Wingspan : 42"
Length: 40"
Wing profile : S6061
Elevator profile : naca 0012
Weight before covering and without canopy , rudders, push rods, horns , battery switch is 876 gr ( 30.8 oz )
Hope to get it close to 1kg around 36oz that would give wing loading at around 16.5 oz/sq.ft

Looking good but might be difficult to balance!

Yes that's what I thought but he can put the battery in the very back and might get lucky.
The design is similar to what has been done before but the engine is always a pusher in
the back and the long nose was to help counter balance.

Balance point will be about 20%<25% of the mean chord for such platform, this picture illustrate how nose heavy it is!

marek84 - Your PMJ looks pretty cool!

During the design phase, did you consider making it a pusher?

I have yet to install 2 small servos for elevator and rudder will try to fit them as far back as I can and run wires through booms.

Here is similar design with same engine by T.Nijhuis:

I love the design and looks of that sleek airplane. Also thanks for the link to Tony's planes and plans. Never saw that one before.

Are you going to do anything with the flat edges on the vertical stabs?

Will sand them round later on . At the moment I am waiting for some mini metal gear servos for elevator and rudder .

craftsmanship lol do not think so , but thank You

Have managed to soldered servo extensions to rudder and elevator servos and than I have threaded rudder servo wire through finished boom , took over an hour...

Today elevator servo wire through other boom

Shaping up really nice, wish I had time to start one in parallel with you.
Hope it balances out well.
