FrSky Horus X10 and X10S transmitters release!

OVERVIEW
The FrSky Horus X10 and X10S are the latest transmitters to join the FrSky family. They both carry on all of the features of their predecessor’s and each model has its own unique advantages.

The X10 series carries forward all the advantages of its big brother the X12S, the X10 and X10S have the built-in iXJT+ module, detachable external antenna, and an industrial LCD screen. Comes with FrSky’s own easy to use FrOS (operating system) and of course, supports OpenTX as well. The X10 series also inherits the wireless trainer system, antenna detection, and SWR warning functions. Designed with 2 internal antennas to improve signal strength and improved battery life with a rechargeable Li-ion battery.

The main difference between the X10 and X10S is the Horus X10 has M10 hall sensor gimbals with adjustable sticks. The Horus X10S is equipped with our latest and best gimbal to date, the MC12 Plus has all CNC digital higher accuracy 10 ball bearing hall sensor Gimbals than MC12 gimbal of the X12S. These gimbals offer the most precise control for your flying experience.

do you feel the difference between old transmitter gimbals without bearings and the current gimbals ?
the rotation becomes lineal and much more smooth. the 3 knobs above do not need bearings as you are not pressing them down.
hopefully they fix this on the X10 SE find out for yourself with a Mikado Tx.

Looks like a fantastic family of new FrSky transmitters!

Just wish the X10 was closer in pricing to the X9D+ SE, not $100 more.

I'll be saving up for an Amber X10...

Both transmitters have a built-in Li-ion battery but how much capacity does the battery have? How many cells? Is the charger built into the tx like the Taranis with FrSky presumably suppling a power supply to drive a built-in charger or do we need to connect an external charger? More important, how long until Aloft has stock?

Battery charger seems to be somewhat special, see photos here of "Interface converter"

If you have a point to make it would help of you would make an effort to explain it rather than relying on shorthand and an assumption that readers here already know what you are referring to.

2S 2600 mA that's about 7h autonomy or less...at max brightness to make the screen readable outdoor.

see the link above. I have no idea why they decided to make the battery balancer along with an external case.

On the basis that there are no dumb questions only dumb answers let me ask one.

Given that these have 2 internal antennas as well as a detachable external antenna what would be a good reason (attaching an 868 MHz and 900 MHz antenna apart) for using the external antenna? (I think the look would be that much cleaner without it).

Thanks
