Not the first and not the last one that didn't make the maiden. no big deal. About half my creations
fly. I fly in wind all the time. It was a factor, but not the cause.

Moving on.

Air frame #000002 is about done, fit some hatches and install the electronics. Powerup 450 speed.
1500kv, .. Rework on the air intake, now fake. Some fiddle vents in the top section will take
care of what I need.

what foamboard are you using?> kinda looks similiar to the stuff im using. Hobbycraft lfoamboard, paper is really hard to take off.

thats my worry with the plane i just build, its pretty strong but the wings could fold once it creases. although there is a carbon rod through most the length of the wing. pretty heavy stuff too.

#2 is done, I went ahead and finished it out this time. Maiden in a couple days, wind is really
up now. Next is to build the front section, stage 2, as a flying unit.
Now I have just over 300w.

That's a very interesting project.
Three CGs to work out for starters.
How is the second stage to be powered?

It's all one piece, CG is at the line.

Looks great! I wonder if you need all four control surfaces or could get away with two in the back as elevens? Looking forward to video.

A friend and I have built many F-22's, F-16's, and F-18's with delta tails and ailerons blended
with the elevrons. Acting in a canard function.

I have not bothered to post about them as my threads don't seem to get much attention.

Oh, so Stage 2 will not detach but will be built as another standalone plane?

My thinking was that if the Stages separated you'd need to establish CG for each Stage plus a CG for the complete unit.

If all goes well, I may build a two piece one later. Stage 1 will have a chute. Stage 2 will have a
folding prop that fits into the front of stage 1. Will be flown by two radios. Stage 1 will have
a small battery. 30 seconds or so.

And the stand alone Stage 2 is almost done. Fix some hatch retainers and add the graphics.

I thought about adding some tubes and using it later for the two piece, but got in a hurry and
didn't.
