That remains the question for now..

Probably just some minor tweaks, I can't see anything huge different at this point.

No updates besides a slight price drop. Thread is not moved but there might be some post in the old v1 thread, I don't know.

The version v2 with the 2217 in 1250kv and a lipo 4s 3300mah with propeller in 8x4e is such correct to make the flight mid range (4 see 5km) ?
And how long will it be flying knowing that I will install a matek f411 wing with a GPS and fpv ?

Amazingly little activity in this thread, and even less in the original RMRC V1 thread Anyway, I just ordered one (KIT) from Banggood (has HobbyKing completely given up on FPV planes??) to be used as a FPV/UAV platform to join me on travels. Initially, I purchased an Eachine Fury wing for that, but that airframe is simply to unsettled to provide any decent video. Now I hope that I can receive the MSH in time for my next trip.

While waiting for the package to arrive, I have prepared the motor and electronics. A 2836mm 1120KV RCTimer motor will swing a Graupner 8x5 E-prop on 3S - most likely a MultiStar 3000mAh. An Omnibus F4 is loaded with Chibios Arduplane and ready for mounting.

Has anybody documented the efficiency of this plane? I'd like get to below 120mAh/km @3S (equivalent 90mAh @ 4S). And what is the sweet spot wrt speed?

While waiting, I'll take the liberty to post Koestel FPV's nice review (in French) to kick a little action into the thread:

See above video. I think I heard Koestel quote 7km at 1000mah at 4S on the maiden flight, so with the 4S 3300mAh battery mentioned, you should be able to reach at least 20km (round trip / aller et retour), or 10km range. Endurance would be 20-30min depending on throttle behaviour.

I can see one major difference: A strip of CF embedded in the outer part of the wings. This should get rid of the hefty flapping, we saw in the V1.

Well it's not something hard to do, to add a few carbon strips yourself. But nice they have done that job for us now.

Suprised this thread is not very bussy, still like the Mini Skyhinter a lot!

Banggood is taking their time shipping my plane. I most likely wont receive it in time for my overseas trip at the end of this week. Very disappointing.

Justapoke: could you tell me, what is the diameter of the tail boom CF tubes? I'm considering machining or 3-D printing an alternative mechanism. with the entire horizontal stabilizer rotating around a connecting rod and with the servo buried in the main wing...

Less battery weight required for balance and no fiddling servo wires thru the boom.

EDIT: Still not even active tracking from BG. I took the consequense and brought out an old trusted plane:

Sorry mate, I don't have the V2 so have no idea what size it will be.

I do have a version 1 but might be a different.

Maybe someone else can jump in?
