F3B November 11/12 Perris

Its a good time to get a B festival going. Kids are back in school, its not too hot or too cold. You have about 75 days to prepare. So its the "no excuses" event. So just be there and have a B fest.

Speed and Distance Bowl!

Friday anyone?

Motcam for speed!

Got a scheduling conflict as the TNT event is on those dates in Dallas.

I will go there and help, reciprocity for the TD guys who helped me practice for the worlds and came to the Dallas distance event.

Best,
Reto

Would some F5B planes be allowed otter up the sky a few times? A couple of us who are just down the road in San Diego could come up to help and maybe fly if it would be ok. It is sometimes interesting to see the other aspects of FAI flying.

FYI for those that are not up on F5B---it started as a electric version of F3B---it still shares the basic multitask "distance and duration" tasks but distance has become a combo of speed and distance where you try to get as many legs as possible in 200 seconds on the 150 meter course using up to 10 climbs. The planes are a lot smaller than F3B---a little more than 2 meters span and weigh in at 2000 grams. Power is from a 10S 1500 mAh battery running a geared electric motor at 6-8000 watts. Motor run time is short---usually 2 seconds or less for the distance climbs.

I've got several spools of nylon line I'd be happy to donate to the F3B guys. Warren--you want to get together to pick up? Or anyone else that lives close to Orange?

I would be glad to see the flights Steve. Lets see what kind of a turnout to expect, and we can forecast a plan.
