Have spacers?

Pierre has a speadsheet on his website for loading. Make sure ballast steps dont affect cg.

Good luck on the maiden!

Ok, I will take a look at it. I will test out ballast positions tonight. Somebody posted that this bird doesn't require as much ballast as the normal precision.

I’ve coded an Excel macro to calculate the best ballast distribution to keep the plane’s C of G as close as possible to the empty C of G position:

Made some simple ballast spacers on the 3d printer. Bright orange for high visability if dropped in grass.

My ballast kit is a little different, has 4 half large pieces and 4 half small pieces to find tune cg. So are you guys using the same amount of ballast as you would typically use on a precision or using less. Jiri was saying he was using half as much. So if both planes weighed 80oz. and the Precision was at 100oz, the P2 would be at about 90oz.

So, so far the only change I would have made is to make the bottom of the wings white or white black, so I can flip the plane upside down and not have to put covers on all the time. For me that is going to be a PITA.

2 x Pike Precision 2 ready to fly

My 2x Pike Precison2 are ready to fly.
The red one is a UMS layup and the white one is a C80 F3F layup.
Weight is almost similar on both at around 2180g. cg at 95mm

Well :-) after few months flying the PP2, it is the most agile machine I get since century :
Now my CG is 98 empty and my ballast sheet moving lightly forward my CG when ballasting, 1kg is enough in most of the conditions, but the glider can fly much heavier :-)
