Redcat Racing 1/8 Landslide XTE.

An Affordable 1/8th Scale Basher

Aluminum capped oil-filled dampers and adjustable suspension comes standard, along with large wheels and tires with an aggressive tread pattern. The Landslide XTE is setup for a pair of 3s or 4s LiPo's.

Wow, that's a very long wheel axle extension, nice to give lot of stress on wheel axle and bearings

That was the first thing I noticed too. I bet those are going to bend. A lot.

V1 Kraton has long axles, but not that long. And it eats bearings. I finally upgraded my Kraton with the v2 hubs and axles because of this.

Yeah, that axle seems like a bad idea.

Wait, this runs 6s-8s (2 3s or 4s) or runs 3s-4s (2 batteries for better runtime)?

Either way it seems that a 1/8 brushless monster truck needs a little higher amp esc?

Yeah, that threw me to. But the motor is "550" size, so probably a 3660, 1920kv, so 80a should do it. Battery trays look 2s size, so I am guessing just bad wording, and it is 4s max.

I own 3s hardcase stick batteries who have the same size than 2s battery. But it is hard to believe that a 80A HW esc can be used with 6s. When i try to see what is writen on the esc on the photo, i can read SC8 RTR. But the SC8 RTR is 120A and can be used with 4s max.

When we read the manual : http://www.redcatracing.com/manuals/...EXTEMANUAL.pdf , it say 11.1 or 14.4V so not 6s.

Digging this thread out of the swamp....lol.

I just ordered one, and am psyched about having something finally big enough to run my whole yard and big enough to jump my huge perc mound. None of my 1:10 trucks could do it well.

For the record, Matt was incorrect in the description. It runs off two 7.4 lipos....total voltage 14.8 volts......It cannot run on 6s or 8s.

Have seen lots of great youtube videos of bashing and have read very little about this truck, but what I have read has been mostly favorable.

The truck is a steal for $299! I bought two sets of Floureon 7.4 5200Mah lipos. I like floureons...this set of two was only $50, and I bought two sets. No one seems to post a valid running time, so I'll have to measure for myself.

What''s really cool, is Redcat has switched to Deans connectors now....nice!

Run time

2 2S flureon 6200mah will go 25 mins, nearly 30mins on a cool night.... 2 2S hexfly 3200/3500mah mixed will run 15mins, I'm more than pleased with those times!

I paid my $299 for mine. You have to get something for free to like it?

Do you even own one or just like trolling?
