Yea...I know it is going to be sweet with the Wings West paint n primer! This boat is going to be star of the lake when she is done...keep posting progress. So the gang can drool over it...then when they see it in person they will be blown away! Clay...thanks much. Dick called me and let me know. I called the guy, but I would have to drive 12 hrs rd trip....that is a bit much I think on a iffy boat I may not be able to sail with group! |

Thank you Kevin n Dick...now I'm getting real excited to finish building it! But the papers are very extensive, and they are pictures and a seperately booklet of what to do with reference to the diagram number.
I want to take my time and do the expert paint job the justice she deserves, but I'll be bringing her to the parks to show the progress off. It is Dave an Atlantas by Robbe, and Peter Kruse sold me it at a very good price. Now just need to get the details cleaned, varnished or resined up, and put the bling on top. The very nice RMG sail wench is already installed, but need to understand how this works controlling all the sails...new to me...may need to research that a bit |

This great build brings up an old question of mine: Will the Orange County group bring back the schooner regatta? I would be willing to drive from TX for that.

Regatta
My understanding is they do that once a year with a Lunch gathering. More of a free sail time and get together. We are not members yet, but are planning to be! Great group of guys at the mason park. Planning on going over to El Dorado Park in Long Beach next week.
Sounds like you formerly from this area Stephen? |
