Slow
Scott,
yesterday i had my waterflying end of season flight with the heavy Triple-Duck. Your lighter Jupiter Giant with two wings will be even slower.

I can see that many of you looked at and maybe downloaded the enlarged plans Bob kindly put up
Any takers? We'd love to here from you even if you are only in the "strongly considering it" phase - or are you all waiting to see if I succeed? I'm still going the right direction, but home repairs and other seasonal home chores have been eating into the time I have to work on it Building a plane on floats is like building 3 fuselages or 1 fuselage and two boats lol - it really adds to the build time! The weather is still holding, but the more I do the more I find that I need to do so the race is still on! I decided rather suddenly to buy my own 3D printer too - should be here next week! |

I am in the group that is waiting to see what you end up with. So far, it looks real nice, and BIG!

YES! I was one of the very first in line for the Giant Bipe. It does not seem like it is going to pan out. I suppose if I want something like that, I will have to build it myself.
In the meantime, i will enjoy getting updates from you on your build. |

I'd bet that 100" Davis did too! I'm hoping to avoid that fate without building a tank! |

Starting to think about installing gear
I need to mount the pushrod tubes before I can close up the rear deck These are 48" pushrods For mock up purposes (and until I can put enough of it together to begin to measure CG) is it safe to assume I will probably want the servos as far forward as possible? |

A somewhat anticipated change of plans
Hard to explain, but I changed the way the floats get sheeted so the the top and bottom decks go edge to edge This required extra trimming that I won't have to repeat on the second float This is why I don't cut all the foam at once Now I can use large scrap pieces of foam to deck it Once the glue is dry I can trim to fit rather than trying to get the shape right on paper |

Looking good Scott. What type of bracing will it need in between the two floats?
