Srtl has arrived

Received my 3xcarbon SRTL yesterday, now the build. 4 mks6130 for the wing, and haven't decided on the tail yet.
Any suggestions on the antenna placement would be appreciated, it's carbon everywhere. Ian

Nice! Similar scheme to your Pitbull. How long was the wait? My fuselage is 2.4 friendly towards the nose end. Guessing you'll need to drill holes for whiskers in front of the wing.

I think they make the fuse 2.4 friendly with kevlar --- maybe yours is different?? Very nice!!

There is no Kevlar that I can see Anywhere in the nose, it's solid black, so will need to drill Ike's in it, before I drill holes in the sky.

I am mistaken, there is a 8" section that isn't carbon, still putting some whiskers outside. Vic the original order was almost 2 years ago,

Hi Ian

glad you got it , don't take any risk for radio glitches,
put your whiskers outside . and if Spectrum run a Rx remote to the tail,

BTW: My antennas are all inside

Cheers

Thanks Thomas, I am going to run a satellite out the tail, just need to figure out a really clean exit for the other fuse antenna.

section of Nose / tip is fiberglass only, you can locate area with 6,000 lumen flashlight.

Some lead is pre-installed to achieve GC

Ian,

I CA'd two toothpicks together on a 45 wrapped with kevlar thread. I then heatshrinked the receiver antennas to the toothpicks then stuffed everything in the nose.
