A bit about me?
Well, I don't really like to brag about myself.

This is the F-4E flight line at Clark AB in the Republic of the Philippines where I was stationed for three years. The hanger in the rear is where I worked in Repair and Reclamation and Phased Inspections. I spent three years at Clark AB.

After working the day before for a tour, and only getting 4 hours of sleep, our crew and I headed off in a UH-1 Iroquois Vietnam era helicopter to the Houston horse racing track to support Mattress Mack's Tsunami Fundraiser.

As a volunteer for the museum, I had the opportunity not only ride in the B-17 (front aircraft) and the B-24 (rear aircraft) but got I to fly both aircraft from the copilots seat and log my time in my log book. The B-17 was lost in the fall of 2019.

This was my first J-3 Cub flight. I think flying the Piper Cub is the most fun you will ever have at 75mph! Even in a dive I couldn't get this bird to go faster then 75mph! But ... oooh ... so much fun!

The Aero L-39 Albatros is another of the several Russian, Soviet Bloc aircraft we took to air shows. This one, the 'Capitalist Pig', was also used as the pace plane for the L-39 races in Reno. Flying it is like flying a luxury sports car!

I sponsored and taught basic Aviation Physics Camps at Ellington Field for several years. Most of the students received a free airplane flight from my friend as part of the EAA Young Eagle program. Many Boy Scouts earned their Aviation Merit Badge.

A group of kids touring the TBM-Avenger during one of my Aviation Day Camps at Ellington Field. The Avenger is a BIG airplane!

Another group of kids touring the Mig 21s during one of my Aviation Day Camps at Ellington Field. There were two Might 21s. The two seats trainer and a single seat fighter. Much simpler than our jet fighters, they are pretty impressive aircraft.

Many of the students attending the Aviation Day Camp were Boy Scouts earning their Aviation Merit Badge. I am a Merit Badge Counselor for the Scouts. I'm the 'big kid' in the middle in the back with two other 'big kids'!

This bug-eyed airplane grows on you! You may not like her at first, but eventually you will! The kids thought it was a cool airplane.

And a favorite of all, the F4-D Phantom II. I worked on the 'E' model, but I will take a 'D' model any day too!
