Our grandson made reservations at Peter Lugers on the same day. Sorry, wife changed my mind about the contest.

Possible re-location of 10/07/17 ales

Gentlemen:
Our new Christmas field is currently being used to receive debris from Irma. I think it's unlikely that it will be cleared in time for our event. Right now, it appears that we will probably be using the college field. I do not know the address, but I am sure Raed will post the address when he reads this. I will keep you posted on this thread when something is definite.

Contest field

I am waiting t hear from Orange County Parks to tell us when we can have access back to the Fort Christmas field, in case we don't, our College field is the alternate site, here are directions:

"(Access is no longer available from Red Ember Road.)
Take Lockwood Boulevard south from SR419 past the Mitchell-Hammock intersection about 2 miles to Old Lockwood Road (at the new Seminole State College complex) and turn left.
Follow Old Lockwood Road about 100 yards and turn left into the entrance of the Seminole State College. Drive to the stop sign (about 200 yards) and continue straight ahead about 15 yards until you reach the cross walk, turn right onto the cross walk, stay on the concrete pad and turn right in between the pond the pump area, continue around the pond, turn right onto the dirt road to the field.

GPS Coordinates:
28d 37′.39.6″ N (28.6276)
81d 09′.59.9″ W (-81.1666)"

These direction and a satellite photo is available on the Orlando Buzzards web site: (Access is no longer available from Red Ember Road.)

I will check back with the county towards the end of this week and make a final determination then.
Sorry for the inconvience, and thanks for understanding.

I'll be there with my slightly beaten up Shadow that bounced off of a few tree limbs yesterday in St. Augustine, but of course this time I'll be using its alternate electric-powered fuse. I'll try to get Jamie to come too.

Either field is fine with me, but it'll bring back lots of fond memories if we wind up flying at the old Buzzard's field.
