ROFL! Nah - I only have 2 Timbers so far - the original 1.5m & the UMX. However, that is subject to change at any time...

It was just wonderful! Keep in mind though I've been flying first person view for years and years and years now! So I can compensate fairly easily for any lag time there is between the input controls in the video itself. You wouldn't think that four, five or even six tenths of a second would be a lot but it is!

I fly my mavic Pro first person view almost exclusively.

In my opinion flying first person view is without a doubt some of the most fun you can have, with your pants on!

But it really is that fun!

I tried to get your brother in flying to do it but he has wussed out.

It's not something that I like to do all the time as I enjoy line-of-sight flying as well but it definitely adds a different dimension to the Pastime!

When I'm at home it helps out a lot because at my Flying Club it faces due east and when the sun comes up during the cooler part of the day in Florida it makes it absolutely worthless to try to fly in. But when you're flying vicariously through fpv you don't have to worry about the Sun!

You're welcome!

I fly, shall we say, on the "cheap".

All my stuff has a "COD" (crap out date) and due to my intrinsic thriftiness and disdain for re entering the work force after having just retired, I fly smart.

FPV for the most part was born from crappy wireless security camera tech.

That camera was a crappy CMOS camera. No filter. Prolly 15 bux.

And if it goes in, no worries.

Fun stuff!

Thinking about getting into my toasted Timby and making it a float plane since my new Timby got here. Does anyone have a brick in the working spares bin or totaled plane and willing to part with it ?

Thanks,

@Audioguru

I picked up the 3600kv and like you the part number was right however the label says 3000kv, but what the heck thought I'd still try it out ... it seems to have a decent amount more power!

On a fresh battery, with the 3600kv motor, when I hand launch it and punch the throttle she cuts off like she's hitting some over current protection, never did this before.

With the stock motor, at my area's altitude of 5,551ft above sea level, I always had to power dive to get a good quick loop, now she can climb way higher and can perform crazy fast loops infinitely. I'll try and take a video.
