Ugh....first reply and it's this.... /\

I think it's awesome!!! I'm definitely getting this plane! It's only a few inches larger than a UMX and the STOL capability will make this fly in any area a small UMX would fly.

Leading edge slats and flaps?!?! Wow! This thing should be a floater!!! C'mon!

I was pretty excited about this until I saw the weight. Wow, that's heavy for a micro!

My lightweight Flyzone micros with undercambered wings are already STOL capable without flaps and slats.

The Timber has a near 28" wing! The weight to wing ratio is not unreasonable.
Plus they had to put in flaps servos.

C'mon.....there has to be someone excited about this plane besides me....

Same here! Might be nicer than my full sized Timber since I wont have to go to the field to fly it!

Hey all,

Glad to see you are excited about the UMX Timber.

For those concerned about the weight here is a good comparable. The UMX Cessna weighs 130 grams and has 93 SqIn of wing area.

The UMX Timber is 121 grams with 119 SqIn. If you install the leading edge slats, that also adds roughly 13 SqIn of additional wing area.

We are planning on having the video up by tomorrow afternoon and you will be able to see the performance of the UMX Timber.

The plane makes you start looking all over for takeoff and landing areas as it can get into and out of places I would not fly other UMX planes.

I think you guys will really enjoy this one!

I'm all in!

Was just dreaming about this plane the other morning while out flying.
2-3" take-off roll should be possible on 3S.
My 3S UMX YAK 54 180 is capable of the same.
Let the good times roll...

Roger
