It finally came? Nice. That was a long wait... the offer for testers was way back on May 30th!

All electronics are burried under rubber self-amalgamating tape. In my run of the boat the tiny amount of sea water that leaked into the hull managed to find its way into the esc and that ended all the fun. So had to find a cheap way to waterproof everything.

For Tx i am using the FS-GT2 which is good enough for the task and cheap so i am not afraid using it near water.

It is also important to know for anyone wanting to buy this boat that i had to pay 32$ for custom's fee.

Something that has never happen before as i have received similar size, weight and price items before (VRX octane - Volantex Ranger etc ) without paying anything extra.

I have to assume that custom's rule have become more strict over the years, hopefully Banggood will find a way to circumvent them.

No fee for the USA. The one Tobey sent to me didn't require one, nor did the second that I bought myself. The PNP version was $129 plus $19 shipping to the USA west coast near San Francisco,

Well i don't know what happened, the VRX octane i got was heavier and bigger and i didn't pay anything.

I was it was just a random event and this doesn't mean that custom's checks are getting more strict cause this will ruin the hobby

After notifying Banggood about the damaged esc we came to an understanding and they decided to send me this esc as a replacement:

https://www.banggood.com/FVT-BOAT080...?rmmds=myorder

this is twice the amps of the original one and we can use up to a 6s battery, I wonder if the motor can take that power

Dunno if the motor can take 22.2 volts (6S) or not, but I really doubt the hull would stay on the water with that much power on hand. Even 4S is causing blow-overs and needs some weight & balance work.

Yes you are correct i noticed that the boat needs some weight up front and i think i noticed some torque turning while the boat is in the air after a jump

Heh-heh. Cats were never made for jumping. You need a monohull for that. Still, sounds like fun.
