could you please provide a link here when it's ready. That's a (Russian?) forum that we have to register on, I cannot read the registration page.

Experimental version of the firmware (in the testing process).
An example of a video in 4K resolution and examples of a photo of an intra-camera JPEG as is:
https://cloud.mail.ru/public/8S3q/4fpPknvpK
Within a week, the first version of the modified firmware will be ready.

Main changes:
------------------------------------------------
-Color presets were changed to less radical (saturation, brightness, sharpness)
-Change of gamma curves
-Compensation of shadows and light in the frame
-The parameters of sharpness are changed
-The video bitrate will be higher and will become constant
-Audio bitrate will be 192kbit
-Two audio channels
------------------------------------------------
In the future, I will change the profile of correcting chromatic aberrations.
The default scene settings will also be changed and other changes will be added...

yeh exactly, I don't know what their problem is... they just need to improve the build quality and firmware to be a realistic replacement for the gopro session for example
with the session being discontinued there's a hole in the market to be filled, will they take the opportunity

GitUp used to be very good at listening to suggestions on here and incorporating them into FW updates. Was that because they were smaller then? Or did the company just change policy?

We are waiting firmware from Ambarella, they move very slowly.
We send sample to a professional Russian user to tune the firmware, so there will be improved firmware for DIY, thanks for contribution.
This is also same for our dash cams, even someone created a team to test the beta DIY firmware, normally we keep checking this and do comparison, and then improve the official firmware.

Work on the modified firmware became possible due to cooperation with the GitUp.

Any variant of cooperation is good if it leads to a positive result.
