ALZRC Devil 505 Fast Super Combo

Looks like a classic 500 with a sport style canopy. $669 for Super Combo. Who's gonna be first ?

https://www.banggood.com/ALZRC-Devil...p-1177555.html

Thanks sylo for the initial heads up post.

still a no deal when the align 470lp is super combo for £350 or £300 without beastx and adding a kbar is only £20 (or a zyx-s which i have in my spares)

Looks like they used an actual Hobbywing ESC for the picture but the description mentions an ALZRC one. Probably a cloned HW.
Just too tempting to not start the fun these helis always bring to discussions.

~500mm blades? Big difference in flight.

Myself, I'm out. Looks tempting but the chief financial officer has vetoed all further non essentials.

The 505 is a MUCH bigger heli. It runs 505mm blades compared to the Trex 470 which runs 380mm.. so no comparison. In size it's half way between a trex 500X (£600) and a Trex 550X (£850)

The SAB Goblin 500 of which the 505 is clearly a clone of is £725 in super combo format, without FBL. The ALZRC version is actually upgraded in several areas using alloy parts where the Goblin 500 sport has plastic. Usually with Banggood after a few weeks they will discount the price down at leasat 15% which makes it a very good deal IMHO.. ALZRC hare aiming at top quality these days (albeit cloned) so you cant really expect it to be priced like a cheapo Hobbyking clone heli.

So in a way ALZRC cloned the G500 that SAB stopped making.

I'm advancing flying, barely soft 3D for now ( my old helis and batteries doesn't help to much) , and want a new good performing machine to start practicing the moves I do on the Sim, I don't crash very often (have a lot of time without crashing my Blade 450, Blade 500X and Trex clone 500), so I'm planning to buy the TRex 500X olso considering 470LM, but now I liked this ALZRC do you think this one is going to be a good performer like the TRex 500X? Any idea of Which batteries uses?

It's a direct clone of the Goblin 500, so flight style and battery size will be the same as the Goblin. I've not owner a Goblin 500 but they are good helis, maybe a shade on the heavy side but they fly well. Flight Battery: 6S 3300 - 4500 mAh (Battery compartment: 50x54x180mm)

I believe that the Goblin 570 is basically a stretch of the Goblin 500, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a Devil 570 FAST before long!

You are comparing completely different helis here. The 470 LP is a streched 450 - a small heli. Even the Devil 380 is a bigger helicopter while swinging the same blade lengh. The Devil 420 is swinging 420's and will fly completely different to a 470 LP.
The 505 is a real 500 heli meaning a whole different class once again.

I am not saying the 470LP is bad. It is simply not in the league of this though.

A much bigger helicopter, a Goblin 500 is about the same size as a Gaui X5.

No it's pretty much the same size as a Trex 500X, Align cheaped out on the blades when they should have just went with 500mm from the start. SAB did the same thing with the Goblin 500 early on and shipped it with 480mm blades before they started to realize that sub 500mm was a deal breaker for a lot of people and just bit the bullet and started shipping it with 500mm blades a a slightly longer boom.

I'd bet that Align eventually does the same thing too and starts shipping the 500X with 500mm blades and a slightly longer boom and belt.
