ANY of the planes (All free plans) at www.3dfoamy.com
I flew my buddies Pitts S2C on the 2208-34 on 3 cells as it is great. Hovered around 1/2 throttle. I was impressed with that little motor! |

I too have been wondering if there's a plane that this kind of setup can hover around. It seems you need to go to 3c packs to get decent performance from BL motors. Im stuck with 2c packs right now until I have the money to spend on a 1-3 or 4c charger...
If you purchase some Fanfold foam from your local hardware store (home depot, menards, ect..) I think it is possible to build a plane light enough to hover... 2c lipo pack, 2oz Rx, Servos, ESC, 1.5oz Motor, prop 2oz max plane, 3oz??? RTF= +/- 8.5oz It seems 10oz is around the highest you can get from a motor like that. Unless you have lipo's rated at 10C or higher...then a 'hotter' motor can be used. So it wont hover at half throttle but it will hover... Just my beginner insight... Brandon |

You could fly my MiniTOC design. It flies great with 3s1p, Axi 2212/26, and the plans are only $15.
JUST KIDDING! I think a 3mm Depron Shocky-size plane would work, anyone know if there are any free plans for something like that? My shocky was so overpowered on 3s 1200 with your motor that I can't believe it wouldn't 3D fine on 2s. Eric |

Free plans or not, the questions still remains can a FFF plane to good 3D on 2s? I doubt it, even the designer seems to like 3s. The 3dfoamies are FFF or "6mm" designs, right?
I think to be light enough to run 2s and have excess thrust he'd need a ultralight 3mm design reinforced like a Shocky, no? Eric |

the only way you are going to get "Good 3D" is to upgrade to 3s pack for larger planes... or settle for smaller, more fragile, lighter airframes.
The only motor that will 3D well on 2S (in larger foam aircraft) is the AXI 2212-26 I would suggest selling your current motor (they go for good $) and upgrade your setup... or simply fly smaller. You can scale my plans to any size in Adobe Acrobat... |

i running a mini r3d on a axi 2204/54 and 3s tp 480's... my best plane so far but the 2208 is to heavy for it. u need something around 30 in. wingspan and under 10 oz. which would be the sx3 i mentioned earlier of which the plans are free
