try and keep it light Fred's designs tended to the overbuilt /heavyish.
TD 05 wasn't enough power despite claims, an 09 was the better fit.
That ASP (norvel clone) should be good IF it's healthy .. remembering it is a chinese copy product.
OS is too heavy imo ...but a good engine

OS isn't really that heavy if you leave the muffler off. Don't forget the AP .09, they are reasonably priced and under rated. Rear exhaust sometimes is in the way, but goes better without it. My AP .06 is a dud, but it was used. My .09 and .15 APs are all pretty good runners.

Things get heavy quick with a throttle servo, then you don't run balls out now with a throttle... An .06 sounds good with little servos, but, you know - if more power is good, then too much is just right. Till the wings fold up.

yeah likely it did.. at 19 oz Cox/sanwa bits was markedly lightened gear.
But those were years after the HOB /Reese models first appeared. Often a HOB was in the 24 /28 oz range. due to heavy gear/batteries
When these models were current /new ..KPS 18s' were the Light choice at 1/2 oz each.
But those were also 60$ each.
That's like 150$ each ! in todays' coin.

2 ch Cox/ Sanwa was light, w 250 mah rx pack, ail/ ele. Thats all they needed, and flew great.
If you built them like you build larger models they were heavy...but a hand launched 2ch w Teedee flew great.

Another Fred Reese classic...nice build! I hope we see a flight video to add to the 1/2A Channel thread.

Have fun,
