O.S. FS40 Project (pre-surpass)

I acquired a used FS40 for cheap. Project engine.

Peter Chinn Test:
weight: 12 ounces
10,200 with 10x6 Top Flite Maple
8,950 with 11x6 Top Flite Maple
8,000 with 12x6 Top Flite Maple
bore/stroke: 21.2 mm x 18.4
bhp: 0.455 @ 11,200 rpm
torque: 50 ounce @ 7k rpm
-bearings used throughout
test conditions: 10% nitro, 11 Celsius, 75% humidity

Needs a an o-ring for the rod housing, a low-speed needle, and a throttle arm.
And bearings.

These little gems are known to be smooth and sip fuel.

This will be a long-term project, since parts may be scarce.
I will check with one of my friends, he has great FS40 wisdom

There is a trick to pushing the cam bearings out using wax, btw.

I do not plan to work on this engine until next year, have a few other engines on the table. It is my favorite OS engine so far.
