Jet Design Contest Project Su-35

Hi to everyone,

I want to share with you my contest project Su-35 for single wemotec fan unit.

Span is 72 cm & length is 102 cm.

This first prototype ended ( without last sanding and finishing) approx. 950 gr with battery and components and, I guess I will not going to expect a perfect test flight like Daren & Dan, due to poor wingloading with standart contest power combo. I will try a powerfull system for the test fly to check the structure and controlability first.

We are going to see in couple of days depending the weather condition.

If everything goes fine, then the second may be will carved from with foam to build light.

Here is the picture

950 = 34 oz, that is a very managable weight based on wing area. Look like it should go fine! Put an AP29 into the minifan and let her rip!

Nice, Very sharp, the side profile looks great, even the the intakes look spot on from the side and look sharp from the front!
Give it a throw and let us know. .

Hi Bora. Great looking model.

I don't know that I would call my first attempts at a test flight, "perfect."

Thanks!!

Thank you guys for your really encouraging words !! As still raining outside, I have a few days for sanding, filling and covering. Don't want to paint her before the test flight.....

Dan, thanks a lot for the video, but I have to check it from home due to office firewall restrictions

Doc, I am just an amateur

Admiral, I am planning to use an HP setup for the first flight , then need to chase an Kyosho I guess.... or built a second really light fuselage for the contest fly, because after covering and painting I am afraid that I will reach a 1,2 kg. ( 42,5 oz.) and it become a dream to fly it with a speed 480 setup......

Thanks a lot to everyone for their interest, I hope to give you a good ( or lucky ) test flight ...

Bora
