Great, we have an official 1-m contest now. There will be a fight for the 1st pace
Thanks for signing up Mike, looking forward to meeting you. You are allowed to change shirts from one day to another. So bring both a tie-dye and an Aloha shirt. And maybe one more for Friday |

I don't want to give too many 'expert' secrets away, but I don't believe there is an official requirement for 'shirt' during the contest. Just sayin'
I'm trying to decide between full chest shave and just leaving the jack-o-lantern look I got from EKG pads. Hmmm, tough choice. I'll leave it as a surprise. Jason |

Jack-O Lantern with out a doubt!

Jason!
your (dressing) technique is certainly not for first time contest pilots. It takes many contests and years of experience to get to your level... |

As long as we are all wearing clothes where it really matters I am good.
I am thinking I need to do a Top Hat and Kilt. I also need to practice my Futterwacken for when I win the 1M. I know of three more 1M pilots who plan to attend but have not registered yet. |

A small group of DESS pilots and sympathizers had a friendly flying practice today in Raleigh. It was hot and humid, but we still had fun.
At some point after many rounds I asked Jason if he would be willing to demonstrate and explain to us his new thermal sensing technique. He reluctantly agreed but only if we all joined him in this new experience. So we did. It was quite a bold statement, I tell you, but it may be the beginning of a new era of topless soaring. It certainly opens a new perspective on feeling the air. Most advantage can be had by pilots with a condition that doctors usually call 'sensitive nipples' if I may say so The flying session ended with lightning, thunder, and rain, but by that that time the topless soaring period was already over so we cannot tell you how it feels to be topless under the rain. Now I wonder if the weather gods saw something they did not care to see and stopped smiling. -- |

Aloha and tie-dye it is, and a vote for the event shirts to be in tie-dye. I would go topless, but then everyone would think I was wearing a sweater. Yes, THAT hairy; I got fur on the bottom of my feet. I suppose I could look for a sponsor that could shave their ad on my back... FrSky would look pretty good... T.M.I.?
