Self-determination mostly. If somebody is inexperienced and wants to battle for the lower level trophy, he is welcome to sign up as Sportsman.

The matrix and scoring will be obviously done irrespective of the classes. All pilots will be flying in randomly generated groups (optimized for maximum matrix fairness).

RDU (Raleigh-Durham International) is the closest airport. About 1:20 drive time from RDU to the field.

Pitt-Greenville Airport, PGV, also has commercial flights on American Airlines with connections in Charlotte. It is about 15 minutes from the flying field.
The closest motel/hotel accommodation's are also in Greenville NC.
Click on the Google map link in post #1 and do your search from there.

Thanks Oleg, I do like flying F5J. I hope to get a little more out of my first gen F5J Xplorer. I plan to make some mods hopefully so it will turn a little tighter and slower.

It's on my calendar - if nothing else I should be able to come out and play for one day.

Plenty of time to practice.

On the calendar and registered.
Now hopefully AA does not cancel their flights as happened for the Mid-South.

Oh boy... Here we go again! If I'm not working, I'll be there to administer sobriety tests on the field. Can't trust the Russians

Can't wait to fly!

Thanks for the support guys!

Ben, please bring the test samples with you. I assume a sobriety test involves measuring how many drinks one can consume before no longer appearing sober.

Test samples, lmao! If that's your definition of the test, then I'm always drunk sober!

Robbed? Humm... My recollection is different

Yes, the Polecat F5J was a blast, and I'm hoping for more chances to compete. It's too early to know if I can be there but I would sure like to.

How do you guys feel about adding this event to the ESL electric division calendar? Say the word, and it's done.
